  • Less expensive than other orthodontic treatments

How does Six Month Smiles® work?

The Six Month Smiles technique employs modern technology and materials to move your teeth quickly and safely, using standard orthodontic forces, but with an emphasis on the cosmetic appearance of your teeth rather than the position of your bitee. This considerably shortens the time of treatment.

To start with, you will be assessed by the dentist to see if you are a suitable candidate for this treatment. Most adults can benefit for treatment, but in some it may not be feasible, depending on the nature and degree of the misplacement of the teeth.

The treatment starts with photos and impressions of your teeth being made. These will be sent directly to the Six Month Smiles laboratory where the custom-fit braces are constructed exactly to your personal profile. The body of the braces is clear and near invisible and the positioning wires are matched to the natural tooth colour.

As with other teeth-straightening treatment methods, a retainer is necessary following completion of the treatment to maintain the position of your teeth.

The treatment is quite safe and there are no more risks of root damage or other complications than with other orthodontic methods.
